Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Vaccination

In line with a new Government campaign, Woolpit Health Centre will begin vaccinations to protect against Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) on 1st September 2024.

The single dose vaccination will be offered to eligible patients only, as listed below:

Programme for older adults aged 75 to 79 years old

  • From 1st September, patients will be invited as they turn 75 years of age.
  • Patients who are already aged 75 to 79 years old on 1 September 2024.

The vaccinations will be delivered by our nursing team in small clinics.

We will be in contact with eligible patients shortly to invite you to book.

Programme for pregnant women to protect infants

  • All women who are at least 28 weeks pregnant on 1 September 2024. After that, pregnant women will become eligible as they reach 28 weeks gestation and remain eligible up to birth.
