Enhanced Access Opening Hours

Woolpit Health Centre work collaboratively with the other practices within Blackbourne Primary Care Network to offer “enhanced access” opening hours.

This means that within our network at least one practice stays open later on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings to provide a range of services for patients who are unable to attend during the core opening hours.

Blackbourne Primary Care Network – Enhanced Access Hours

The range of services offered during enhanced access hours at Woolpit Health Centre, is a blend of face to face appointments and telephone consultations, including but not limited to routine appointments; medication reviews; women’s health clinics and vaccine clinics.

These enhanced opening hours are for appointments that have been booked in advance, our phone lines will not be open during these hours. Doors will close at 7pm on Tuesday and Thursdays, at which time we will revert to telephone appointments.

In addition, a small number of weekday evening and Saturday appointments are available via the Suffolk GP Federation NHS service GP+ at their centres in Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket and Eye.

Please note that patients cannot refer themselves to this service, appointments can be made via our reception team.

You will be seen by a suitable local GP, Nurse Practitioner or nurse who will have access to your medical records (once consent is given).

These are NOT walk-in or emergency services and you should contact the out-of-hours service on 111 (6.30pm – 8am) if you need urgent medical advice or call 999 for an ambulance in a medical emergency.
